The Community advantages
Location of the Community of Kęty is very suitable and stimulating for its developement. The town lies in the juncton of the routes to Cracow (about 70 km), Bielsko-Biała (about 20 km) and Oswiecim (about 20 km), near the Polish–Czech border in Cieszyn (about 50 km) and Polish–Slovakian border passes in Korbielów and Zwardoń.
Good communication infrastructure and gentle climate as well as picturesque location in the river Soła valley close to several lakes and the water dams in Porąbka and Tresna and the beautiful Beskidy mountains, results in good perspectives for the development of tourism in the area. The Soła river divides the town in a natural way into the historical and industrial east part and the west one which is an area of housing estates, residentials and recreation facilities. In this part of the town one can find e.g. a modern swimming pool with complex sportive and recreational equipment.
The Community pays a lot of attention to ecology issues and protecting the natural landscape. The citizens of Kęty are proud of the town’s exemplary waste utilization system. The Community also has a modern sewage plant and the sewage system is being systematically expanded. There is still a lot of place available in the Community for residentional and economic development. The majority of these areas are equipped with technical infrastructure.
